We southern girls are all about the party favor, am I right? The way I see it, if people will go to the trouble of coming to one of my book signings, they wont be leaving empty handed. So in keeping with the whole GraceGritsGarden theme, Ive been making seed packets for my next book signing in Little Rock. If you live in the area, I hope youll plan to join me at WordsWorth Books on Saturday, April 2 from 3:00 4:30. And if you do, youll leave with one of these little seed packets.

CuteCuteCute, if I do say so.

Even if you live elsewhere and cant come to my book signing, making seed packets is a fun project and a great way to store and share seeds with friends and neighbors. Kids can get in on this project, too. I know moms with kids will soon be looking for summer activities for the kiddos

Labels are easy to make, and there are lots of templates online. Options for your packets are limited only by your time and imagination.

Do you remember when I made a dorky video about how to harvest coneflower seeds? Well, I used the seeds I harvested during that video to make these packets. If you dont have your own seeds, there are lots of places to buy bulk seeds online including The Seed Guy in Bella Vista, Arkansas.

As I made these coneflower packets, I thought to myself, Self, you really should figure out a way to do this without using plastic.

Seriously, these are as fun as a package of Fruit Striped gum.

You all, these were incredibly easy to make. Here are the goodies that I used, to construct these adorable little flower seed packets.

I poured the seeds from the store packaging, in to the brown kraft bags, and sealed them with a strip of washi tape.

Last, I applied the labels that I created, to the front, and they were done! So easy. So cute. So perfect.

Flower seed favors would be so perfect for any birthday party, girls night out, wedding, baby shower, bridal shower, and so much more. You could even make these to have on hand, to use as gift tags! How cute would that be!?
