I’m so happy to be able to share highlights from the boy’s birthday party with you today. I had planned to have this post for you last Friday but my family had the stomach flu and strep throat last week and I just didn’t have a chance to put it together. We are very slowing putting the pieces back together after a really bad week. I’m hoping this week will be a million times better.
The birthday party was the weekend before last and was so much fun. We had the Little Pumpkin first birthday party for twins on Saturday and the boy’s Christening on Sunday.

Happy Wednesday, friends! Over the weekend we celebrated our little pumpkin turning one year old. I cant believe how far we have come since this same time just one year ago. It is crazy looking at photos of how tiny she was, and how she used to just lay on our chests and sleep. Waking up at 3am to feed her seems like such a distant memory, and I smile when I think of how concerned we were that she wasnt rolling over yet and now she is motoring around and learning to walk.

Pumpkin 1st Birthday Activities
I planned a pumpkin decorating activity for this party since we had so many little cousins coming.
It was perfect for keeping them occupied while we ate and visited and served as a thank you gift everyone got to take home with them at the end.
I got markers and colored stickers and laid out pictures with some pumpkin decorating examples.
If I did one thing differently I would have gotten some larger craft pumpkins for the adults to decorate, but I just ran out of time!
And of course, I planned for Mias cake smash during the party!
I did SO many things last minute that I didnt have time to order a cute cake , so I found a $5 premade cake at the grocery store, scraped off all of the sprinkles and frosting and got the perfect naked cake!

Little Pumpkin First Birthday Party For Twins
With a fall birthday, I couldn’t help but go with the Little Pumpkin first birthday party for twins theme. There were so many fun details that were easy to add because of the season.
The party was around 11 o’clock just after the twin’s morning nap.
My friend Michelle from Michelle Huston photography came over to take some photos for me so I could enjoy the party and not be so stressed about capturing the moments.
Since my free time is super limited these days, I had been chipping away at the to-do list for the party since August, so I was so happy to see all the details come together.
I loved the way the cake table came out!
I got smash cakes for both the boys but at the last minute I went a specialty bakery and got them vegan ones to actually eat. I decided with all the weekend festivities, it wasn’t worth risking giving them something they might have a reaction to.
These pretty cakes ended up being more for photos, but I thought they were adorable.
My friend from High School, Andrea, worked with me for months creating the perfect banners and cake toppers for the party. She made them and shipped them all the way from California. She is a special person and the party would not have been the same without her efforts.
I had a lot of fun putting together boards for each of the boys. As twins they are grouped together in so many ways, I wanted to highlight them both as individuals too.
And here’s Hunters! He was also taller than I guessed at 32 inches.

Hey there, Pumpkin! Have we got a treat for you! This pumpkin patch first birthday party is full of everything nice and pumpkin spice! From a giant pumpkin backdrop to pastel pumpkin place settings to caramel apples made to look like pumpkins, this mom pulled out all the stops! She celebrated her little pumpkin turning one in a way that he and all his friends, and their parents too, would enjoy. And as an event planner by trade at Petals and Pearls, its no surprise that it turned out this incredible.
As an event planner, I have the privilege of doing a variety of beautiful weddings and events. This event, however, was extra special, as it was my baby boys first birthday! Being a fall baby, and having a slight obsession with everything about this beautiful season, I wanted to bring it all together and create my own theme- something I have yet to see a fun, pastel toned, pumpkin patch birthday!
I transformed my kitchen space into a pumpkin patch! Table settings consisted of a runner of pastel painted pumpkins, greenery, wood chips, and little fox and bunnies to tie it all together. Each little guest had a designated seat marked by a mini pumpkin tied with a name tag. They enjoyed lunch and delicious treats a beautiful sweetscape of fall themed and pumpkin infused treats! Activities included face painting, balloon twister, and a visit from some adorable furry animals! All the guests also received sweetie pies fresh bakes mini apple pies to enjoy.

Pumpkin Patch Birthday Bash For A Fall
This past week we celebrated my sons 1st birthday party at a local farm in New Jersey. Complete with a pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayride, and barn, it had all things fall that both parents and children love.
Ive hosted plenty of parties and events at my own house, but this time I wanted to let someone else do the work! The preparation and clean up always gets to me when I have a party at home, as well as feeling like I didnt even talk to my guests.
Hosting a 1st birthday party at a farm and pumpkin patch was such an awesome idea for so many reasons.
First, there were already activities set up so I didnt have to plan any ways to keep the kids entertained. Second, it was the perfect time of year to have a fall festival and you know everyone would be at a pumpkin patch with their family that weekend anyway. Lastly, there were people there to help me set up, clean up, and keep us on a time schedule so I could play and socialize with the guests.
It was really a great experience and I hope to be able to have my sons birthday parties at a farm or pumpkin patch every year from now on!
