How cold is it? Should we wear something warm? The rink area averages between 40-60 degrees year round. Our lobby averages 75 degrees during the warmer months. You will want to dress warmly and in layers. Gloves, sweatshirts, and socks can be purchased at the front desk.
Do I need to wear a helmet? Helmets are not required, but we recommend them for new skaters and children. We now offer helmets included with your rental cost!
Do you serve food? The cafe is open during public skating sessions, serving a variety of concessions. Vending machines are available as well.
At what age can my child start skating? The Ice Factory does not have an age limit, but generally children are able to skate after they are comfortable walking.
What size skates do you have? We carry rental skates from a child size 8 all the way up to an adult size 15. We carry standard Riedell Figure Rental Skates. We also have hockey skates available upon request.
Do we sharpen skates? We do offer skate sharpening services. Hockey skates are $10 on demand or $8 overnight. Figure skates require precision sharpening and cost $15. On demand services are generally available, but you can call ahead to ensure availability.

Great Fun For An Adult Birthday Party
Easily one of the “best value” attractions in central Florida. Our party of 17 dressed up and really had a wonderful time getting into the mood of the joint. Drinks in the Hideaway, then first to our table and the buffet. The buffet was much better than anticipated with a greater variety than we expected . The show was fun – certainly not Broadway quality but the included drinks made it even more enjoyable! The service was terrific – Vito made sure that our glasses never ran dry and was always nearby if we needed anything. One note on tips: the front office will charge a “partial” tip when you pay for your ticket additional tips are expected and well earned. Overall, it was great fun and well worth the price of admission.

Holiday Inn Resort & Waterpark Aka Nickelodeon Hotel
A few years ago, my family decided to do what a lot of families do for spring break . We did a stay-cation at the Nickelodeon Hotel in Orlando. We stayed for nearly a week and absolutely loved our experience at the Nick Hotel. We were somewhat surprised to hear it had been sold and was being re-branded and re-modeled as a Holiday Inn not long after our stay.
