The Tex-Mex is a Mexican style of food that originated in the U.S. There are many different varieties of Tex-Mex that can be found across the country. For this Tex-Mex list, I have compiled a list of my favorite places around the Lone Star State to enjoy a Tex-Mex meal and create some memories with your family and friends!
1) Tacos Jalisco: This restaurant looks like a hidden gem but doesnt let that fool you. They have some of the best tacos in Houston with their signature pork tacos being my personal favorite. They have an amazing salsa bar as well as chips and queso on their menu, which are sure to please any Texan! This place has been around for years and its likely youll see someone you know.
Relax And Unwind With A Spa Day
Take some time for self-care and have a spa day with your besties. Make an appointment at your favorite salon to get a new haircut, have your nails done, or get a refreshing facial. You can also invite an aesthetician to your home and have the spa day in your garden or living room. Keep things simple and offer easy refreshments like cucumber water or alcohol spritzers.

Cathedral Of Saint Mary

Originally built in the 1800s, the Cathedral of Saint Mary is one of the oldest churches in Austin, and it has a deep, rich heritage thanks to its Irish Catholic roots.
It doesnt shy away from those roots, either.
Every holiday season, the Celtic Cultural Center of Texas hosts a concert that brings together hundreds of Irish and Scottish musicians.
Its a noted cultural event in both Austin and the Irish Catholic community.
You dont have to wait for Christmas to enjoy the cathedral, however.

There are several different ways to get into the Greenbelt. My favorite entry point is past Loop 360 off of the Capitol of Texas highway. Hike one hour in and youll be greeted with waterfalls a relief from our humid Texas summers. Watch out for bikers as youre walking on the path . I like walking on the Butler Hike-and-Bike trail boardwalk!
Chow Down On Iconic Austin Barbecue
Various locationsIf theres one upside to the way COVID-19 has changed the world, its that you can now try Aaron Franklins famous barbecue without staking out a spot in line at 6 am. Franklin BBQ has embraced curbside pick-up, selling their world-famous brisket on a to-go basis for the time being. Swim At Hamilton Pool
This natural swimming pool was created when the dome of an underground river collapsed due to massive erosion thousands of years ago.
Reservations are required during the summer from May to Sept. No reservations during the fall but be prepared to wait up to 45 minutes to enter. The entrance fee is $15 per vehicle when entering, cash only. There is a small bike trail but Ive always headed straight to the pool.
McKinney Falls State Park is a popular swimming spot too.

2. Create an account under the childs name .
3. Once the account is created, the site should prompt you to attach a credit card, or you can do this by clicking on Account Info, scrolling down to Payment Info, and then clicking on Edit Payment Info.
