Organize An Insta Party
Give teens a party worth sharing by providing clothes, props, makeup, and hair styling products, and then let them hold their own modeling shoot complete with a photo session.
Ideal age: 15th birthday and up
Things to remember: If you’re concerned about the possibility of inappropriate photos being shared, insist kids turn their phones to airplane mode until the end of the party when you can check photos and allow them to upload to their heart’s content.
Cost prediction: Low just a few supplies which you’ll likely already have in your house and some photo props from the dollar store
Number of guests: 5-8
Indoor Activity #: Ping
- Ping pong balls
- Prizes. For the full carnival effect, roll with stuffed animals.
Anybody whos ever played beer pong knows the deal here , except in this county fair version of the game each cup is worth a certain point value. After labeling the inside of each cup with a random number from 1-5, set up 15 Solo cups on the floor in a 5-row pyramid . Put a piece of tape on the floor several feet away, behind which the shooter should stand, and have each kid throw five ping pong balls. Add up and record the total points for balls landing in the cups before moving on to the next child. After a set number of rounds, add up the total scores and declare a winner. Final thought: if you have the time, glue all the cups to a giant piece of cardboard before the party that way its ready to go and cups wont accidentally get knocked over.

Share Your Favorite Memories
My children never get tired of hearing stories about when they were youngersticking their face in their 1st birthday cakeholding their baby brother for the first timecrawling out of their crib in the middle of the night to sleep in their sisters bed. They love it! Crave it.
At the end of the day though, the most important thing we can do for our children is to communicate in words and affection how much we ADORE being their mommy, and how deeply and unconditionally loved they are. That connection with you is what fills a Love Tank. The rest is just fun.

Cool And Fun Birthday Ideas To Celebrate Tweens And Teens
When your child hits the double digits, planning birthday parties can become a bit more complicated. The guest list might be forever changing due to the politics of the age range, plus tweens and teens definitely want a party that expresses their new maturity and budding individuality.
Of course, with COVID-19 restrictions in place, parents should use their best judgment to determine whether or not throwing a birthday party is feasible at this time. If you choose to celebrate your kiddo with a small get-together, follow your state’s safety precautions and consider having all attendees wear masks and social distance at the event, if possible, as vaccines aren’t available yet for children under the age of 16. Additionally, parents may want to consider hosting outdoor-only events, keeping groups small, and requiring COVID-19 testing before any gatherings that can’t be kept socially distanced.
Here are a dozen suggestions for celebrating your tween or teen’s birthday, all of which could be modified in terms of safety amid the pandemic .

Indoor Activity #: Whats In The Bowl
Prep Time: 1 minute
- A bag of uncooked rice.
- A blindfold.
- A collection of small objects from around the house: coins, pieces of crayon, marbles, goldfish crackers, a pen lid, the cap to the toothpaste, whatever you got. Just remember to keep an eye on all of these things when youre done, as some may still be a safety hazard for kids.
- Prizes for the winners.
- A timer .
Whats in the Bowl? is a kids party version of the classic baby shower game in which blindfolded guests fish for tiny safety pins in a bowl full of uncooked rice. Obviously, since you dont want kids collecting dangerous needles and/or drinking Mimosas before noon, the bowl is filled with other small objects. The concept, however, remains the same. Each kid takes a turn and the goal is to either: a) fish as many items as possible out of the bowl in the shortest amount of time, or b) guess what each item is entirely by touch. In both cases, you keep score and award the winner a prize.
Set A Birthday Party Budget
Kids birthday parties do not need to be expensive! In fact- most of the home parties we’ve thrown over the years have cost less than $100. Here are some tips to streamline the cost:
- Run the games, activities, and crafts yourself vs. hiring out the entertainment
- Plan your party in the afternoon and offer snacks and birthday cake vs. a meal
- Have the party craft also serve as the party favor
- Don’t spend money on pricey themed paper goods and decorations! Buy solid-colored paper goods that are cheaper, and allow you to use leftover pieces at future parties! Decorate with inexpensive balloons or steamers

Apples and Oranges
Form the kids into a circle. The group will pass an apple around the circle to the right while passing an orange to the left at the same time. However, the children can’t use their hands to pass the fruit instead they must use their elbows, feet, chin, and the like to keep it moving.
If they drop the fruit, they must close their eyes to keep playing. The game continues until only one person is left with his or her eyes open.

Something To Sit On Thats Also An Activity
Several parents mentioned the near-universal appeal of sports and obstacle courses. How Long Should A Kids Birthday Party Last
One of the biggest mistakes I think people make when planning a party is that they make it last too long! I think its better to have a shorter party- pack it with fun activities and then wrap it up while everyone is still having a good time.
You dont want to glance at your watch in the middle of your childs party and think, Holy Moly- we still have an hour and a half to go what are we going to DO?
A good general guideline is 90 minutes or less for pre-schoolers, and 2 hours long for kids in elementary school.
Diy Magic Tricks Party
Kids love learning new magic tricks- and this party gives them the chance to do just that! In this DIY Magic Tricks party, kids team up with a partner, read how to do a new trick, practice a little, and then get up in front of the group to perform their new trick! The results may not always be what’s expected, but the kids will laugh and have a great time anyway!
