- For larger parties, each additional guest after 8 is $40 per person.
- The maximum amount of guests Palates can host comfortably is 20-25 kids. For parties with more than 12 guests, an additional $50 for a second instructor to assist will be charged.

The Stocked Pot Cooking School Kids Birthday Parties Celebrate With Us
Celebrate your childs birthday in the most delicious way by hosting a Birthday Cooking Party at The Stocked Pot. Our hands-on, private classes are taught by a certified Executive Chef, Chef Donald McMillan C.E.C. A.A.C. who will create a unique culinary experience for everyone. Ive always been a big fan of kids cooking classes. Many of them are inexpensive, the kids love to create, the mess they make is not in my kitchen, there is no clean up and often they get to bring home the meal they made. The kids are also safe and supervised for a couple of hours while learning lifelong culinary skills. Whats not to love?
And with the courses below, there is no need to worry about missing seasonal registration dates these are some of my favourite one-off cooking workshops.
PC Cooking School: If you want to get them started early, the parent and toddler classes that take place at Provigo allow little chefs to get their hands dirty and their creative juices flowing. Classes for kids and teens are also offered at stores across the city, with easy recipes such as nachos, pasta, and Chinese food. In late November, my daughter Lorelai turned four. Together with her sisters and friends, we celebrated at the , located upstairs in the Loblaws McCowan Market. They offer a two-hour uniquely themed pizza birthday party for children aged 4 to 10 that did not disappoint!
I initiated a Reservation Request online and 24-hours later I was contacted by Jennifer the Cooking School Coordinator. I booked Lorelais party that same day. The next day I went in to pay my deposit and pick up birthday party invitations .
Fast forward one month, Jennifer called to confirm the number of kids , allergy/dietary restrictions , cake selection and the number of parents staying. Be advised that PC Cooking Schools are not allergy-free zones.
Three days before the party, I drove over to Loblaws McCowan Market to ensure that the parents would be taken care of . From the Deli Department, I ordered a sandwich tray, vegetable tray and fruit tray. On the day of the party, the trays were ready on time and were nicely paired with the assorted selection of cold and hot beverages we picked up on the way.

11:15-11:45 Cooking Class 1: Cupcake Batter
Suggested activity: Begin with a Treasure Hunt for Top Secret Cupcake Recipes. This gives mom a chance to clear the table from the hat/apron decorating and set out ingredients for making the cupcake batter. Once the mystery has been solved, wash hands, don aprons and hats and prepare cupcakes.
