From Mardi Gras to the holidays, Busch Gardens Tampa has an exciting year filled with festive and fun events planned out. Here’s a full list of this year’s events.

Real Music Series Select Days from Jan. 4 to Feb. 27, 2022

Busch Gardens’ longest-running concert series returns with all-new music performances.

Let the good times roll at Busch Gardens Tampa’s Mardi Gras! Starting at noon on event days, the Bird Gardens come to life with a mini Mardi Gras Parade featuring stilt walkers, dancers, a brass band and Mardi Gras royalty. This celebration takes place in between the Jackson Square event booth and the Coca-Cola Pavilion stage and lasts just under five minutes. If you happen to miss it the first time, don’t worry! It happens four times throughout the day every two hours.

Once the majority of the performers start to head back the way they came, three dancers will make their way onto the event stage to throw beads for about 10 minutes whereas the brass band will take to the Coca-Cola Pavilion stage for a 15-minute live show. With the locations so close to each other, you won’t miss hearing the music if you want to try to catch as many beads as you possibly can! Plus, the concert continues even when the beads are all gone, so you can grab a seat on the bleachers afterward and catch a good portion of the show.

A visit to Busch Gardens is one of the highlights of a visit to Tampa, Florida. We made the trip on our second day exploring the city. It was a blast. We spent almost the entire day at Busch Gardens with our two small boys. But after our visit, weve had loads of questions from parents wondering what there is to do at Busch Gardens for toddlers and young children. Many of the attractions and rides at Busch Gardens Tampa seem catered towards older children. Even having visited Busch Gardens a lot as a teenager, I never realized they even had an area dedicated to younger children. But those looking at what to do at Busch Gardens for toddlers will be happy to know that there are areas of the park that cater to small children.

Zootampa At Lowry Park

This 56-acre, family-friendly facility features naturalistic wildlife habitats and is home to many endangered, threatened and vulnerable species from climates similar to West Central Florida’s, with sections devoted to Asia, Africa and Australia as well as the Sunshine State. 1101 W. Wild Surge Drop Tower

Just because your at Busch Garden with young kids doesnt mean that you cant experience a few thrills. D, our 5-year-old just squeaked above the 38 cut-off for the Wild Surge Drop Tower. This thrilling ride in Jungalas Village launches you out of a crater and over a waterfall. Its exciting, and if you keep your eyes open, youll get great views of the surrounding park.

1. Animal Photo Bombers! I cannot tell you all the times that animals at Busch Gardens have photo bombed my pictures. I love it! It makes for a better picture, and we always enjoy going through our pictures to see what bombers we had that day. It makes the memories of the special day more fun!

2. The Coasters! We are maniacs in our family! If there are coasterswere there! Going to Busch Gardens for my little ones 10th birthday was cool, because she was tall enough to go on even more coasters! Wo0t! Busch Gardens has some of the best coasters in the world! They have Gwazi, Kumba, Montu, oh my!! Two of our favorites are Cheetah Hunt and SheiKra! EEEK ra is a better name! LOL!

3. Fun Rides. Not only does Busch Gardens have amazing coasters, they also have a ton of other fun rides and activities. Theres activities in Jungala plus Stanley Falls, Congo River Rapids, Rhino Rally, Air Grover, The Wild Surge, and SO MUCH more!! There is no way to not have fun. Fun is basically the only option!

4. Close Encounters with Incredible Animals! They have amazing opportunities like Serengeti Safari, Elephant Insider, Keeper for a Day, Heart of Africa, and a lot more! We chose the and my sweet girl got to feed and pet one of her favorite animalsthe giraffe!
