I have been a patron of this establishment since 2014, and having been to several other casino resorts, I can definitely say that it is worth the visit. Although they just recently expanded, hotel wise, it is very clean, very good rooms, good amenities, and very accommodating staff. The casino itself is not as smoky as you would think, and based on my experiences with other casinos, the machines are better. They’re not tight as hell like the other SoCal casinos I know. It also rewards its players a very good amount of free play that you can enjoy every week and other free perks such as comped rooms. As a player, it pays to get these rooms for free, but being just a visitor once in a while and having to pay for their rooms is quite costly compared to others. Overall, a good place to visit and good attractions nearby that you can enjoy.

We had not been at this casino in a long time, but decided at the last minute to visit. They provided some pretty good offers, the casino, stores, restrooms, etc., we’re very clean, and not nearly as smokey as other casino’s we visit. Went to the Christmas buffet and the Prime Rib was out of this world. They had hand craved brisket, prime rib, turkey and ham. Other stations include Asian with spicy beef w/ peanut, orange chicken, sushi, and fries rice. They also had pizza, steamed rice, sea foord like snow crab legs, cod and shrimp. The cost was $40 per person, not sure if this was just for Christmas or their normal price but everything was just great. Plus deserts all were mini versions of the normal, egg noodles cheese cake, red velvet cake, cookies, and ice cream plus other items. You will not leave hungry.

The new hotel is very fine. Nice rooms, big and with everything you need. Wi-fi is working better and the best deal is $135 a night for a king bed. Way worth it. That is not always the price, but if you can get it, it’s a steal. The casino is cool, good poker room, plenty of slots and the tables are good when busy. My wife and I wanted to visit the casino and check out the remodel. We were very impressed. The place now feels like a “real” casino. We ate at their cafe and had mixed experience. We arrived at the front desk and saw 2 associates, I asked both of them if we can check in, both ladies told me to wait. They did not acknowledge our presence and did not even welcome us and feels like we were not in front of them. Good thing another clerk came walking around the desk from the lobby to assist us. Our bellman was great and gave us water bottles after bringing our bags. The suite was nice with balcony and large shower room. Hotel room was new, clean and modern. Casino had great selections of machines. Everything was great here except for the not so welcoming experience at check in.

While driving through the mountains from Santa Barbara to Solvang we made a last minute decision to drop into Chumash Casino. I honestly love the Chumash casino hotel rooms. They’re the best because the rooms are always immaculately clean and the staff is friendly. The outdoor pool area is gorgeous! One small issue I do have is that children aren’t allowed in the jacuzzi. We were told that it may burn their skin. Honestly that jacuzzi’s heat is nothing compared to hotels in Vegas. I understand not many children come to the Chumash, but they still do come, and I think management should get rid of that “no children in the jacuzzi” rule. Other than that, I highly recommend staying at the Chumash resorts rooms. It’s wonderful.
